The starball and the Badge of Honour
Every participant wears the starball on both sleeves. Clubs that have won the tournament five times or more, or three times in a row, receive their own version from UEFA with the title count: the Badge of Honour. Real Madrid, AC Milan, Liverpool, FC Barcelona, Bayern and Ajax qualify. Put a standard starball on one of those shirts and it is historically wrong — one of the most common mistakes when building a European shirt.
Titleholder version
The previous season's winner wears a different starball in grey and white. It is valid for exactly one year and exactly one club, then disappears again. For collectors these are the most time-specific badges there are: a shirt carrying that patch can be dated instantly.
Name sets for European nights
The Champions League uses its own typeface with large squad numbers, clearly different from the sets used in La Liga or the Premier League. For players such as Mbappé, Lamine Yamal and Griezmann we stock the European version per shirt — home, away and third kits each have their own colourway.
